The Front Runner surfboard carrier is the ultimate solution for transporting your surfboard while freeing up valuable roof rack space for other gear. Designed for the rugged conditions of off-road travel, this carrier keeps your board safe and secure on the world's toughest roads. The two movable holders clamp your surfboard in place vertically on either side of the Front Runner Slimline II Rack, allowing you to make full use of your roof rack space for additional equipment like Roof Top Tents, kayaks, bikes, and more.
Adjustable along the length of the rack, the holders can accommodate various board sizes, providing a versatile solution for your surfing adventures. The supplied Front Runner Stratchits hold the surfboard snug against padded side rests, with a clever cinching system that ensures easy-on and easy-off secure transport every time. Each vertical holder and side rest is equipped with soft-touch foam padding to cradle your valuable gear without causing harm or scratches. The foam pads are made from weather-resistant cross-linked, closed-cell polyethylene for added durability.
The vertical holders can be folded down and stored flat against the rack top when not in use. If space is available on the rack top, the holders can also be used in their flat horizontal positions to mount a surfboard or other larger boards for SUP or windsurfing. The brackets are made from high-strength steel and sealed with the same durable, weather-resistant black powder coating as the Front Runner Slimline II Roof Racks.
In the vertical position, the holders measure 400mm (15.8") high from the underside of the Slimline II Rack Tray. When folded flat in the locked horizontal position, the holders measure 45mm high from the underside of the Slimline II Rack Tray. Compatible with Front Runner Slimline II Roof Racks, Bed Racks, and Trailer Racks, this carrier easily bolts to your Slimline II Rack with the supplied hardware. The kit includes all necessary installation hardware and fitting instructions, ensuring a hassle-free setup.
